Doctor Doom: Books Of Doom

The full origins of Marvel's most iconic and enduring villain, Doctor Doom, are revealed - as told by Doctor Doom himself! From the black steppes of Eastern Europe to the throne of Latveria, witness the complete untold story of Victor Von Doom. When a Roma child loses his sorceress mother to dark forces and watches his people suffer under a tyrant's rule, he makes a choice: master both science and sorcery, no matter the cost. His obsession leads to a catastrophic experiment, a fateful rivalry with Reed Richards, and ultimately the bloody conquest of an entire nation. This story comes from Doom's own lips as he recounts his life to a journalist—but those who witnessed these events tell a very different tale. The truth lies somewhere between his ego and their fear. This is the sweeping tragedy that reveals why Victor Von Doom’s vanity consumes him and why he believes his dictatorship is justified.
