A classic Batman story restored to its original beauty The madmen take over the sanatorium, and the Dark Knight descends with them into the heart of madness in Batman: Arkham Asylum, one of the most successful comic books of all time. The script was written by the legendary screenwriter Grant Morrison (Superman among the stars), and it was fantastically illustrated by Dave McKean (Sandman). This dark and intelligent story remains as interesting as when it was first published 30 years ago. In this new edition, the illustrator has carefully restored each page to its original color and quality, creating a final product that better matches his original painted panels than any reproduction to date! The issue also includes more than 100 pages of "behind the scenes," including the entire script with notes, sketches, a pinup gallery, and afterwords by Morrison, McKean, and series editor Karen Berger.
